I do all the laundry in our house. Wash whites/lights separate, towels separate, pretty much everything else together.

It was because I was tired of my underwear ending up pink that I started doing my own laundry when I was 13 or so. When you have three sisters it’s too easy for things to get mixed up if all of the laundry is done together.

At my house I was in charge of grocery shopping, doing the dishes, weedeated, and did general cleaning. My mom always did the laundry and mowed. We all had our own jobs and washing clothes wasn’t mine. However, I can load a dishwasher like a tetris master!

My mom washed my clothes until the 7th grade. One day a pen went through the wash and my mom told me that I had one job - empty my pockets beforehand. Washing my clothes ever since. Hell my wife doesn’t even do it for me.

I am hosting a foreign exchange student. He's 14 and had never put a pillow case on a pillow.

My mom always did the laundry, but I had to have mine downstairs early on Saturday morning, and as I got older, I started sleeping later. So if my clothes weren’t downstairs by a certain time, I had to wash them myself. So I learned in high school. Thirty years later and I’m still doing all the laundry.
